The last summary bulletin was published in 2018. Prescription data continues to be published by NHS Business Services Authority, but no summary bulletins are published.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/opendata.nhsbsa.net\/theme\/community_prescribing_dispensing\">Download the latest statistics from NHS Business Services Authority<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/digital.nhs.uk\/data-and-information\/publications\/statistical\/prescriptions-dispensed-in-the-community\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Download historic bulletins from NHS Digital<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>The\u00a0<i>Prescription Cost Analysis<\/i>\u00a0(PCA)<\/strong> shows in detail the number of items, the total net ingredient cost (NIC) and average NIC per prescription for products dispensed in the community in England. This is shown for individual preparations, Chemicals, BNF Paragraphs, BNF Sub-Paragraphs, BNF Chapters, BNF Sections, and as an overall total.
